Contractor Scope of Work

Leighton Contractors is currently delivering in excess of $2.25 billion worth of contracts for the Gorgon Project after securing the Gorgon LNG Civils and Underground Works contract and Gorgon LNG Jetty and Marine Structure contract.

Gorgon LNG Civils and Underground Works project
The civil and undergrounds works scope for the delivery of three LNG trains includes 775,000 m³ of earthworks, 145,000 m³ of in-situ and 75,000 m³ of precast concrete and underground services including draining, 46 kms of piping and 2,500 kms of electrical and instrumentation cabling for the Gorgon Project Barrow Island LNG Plant.

Gorgon LNG Jetty and Marine Structure project
We are constructing Australia's largest Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) jetty in consortia with Saipem. The project scope includes design, material supply, fabrication, construction and commissioning of the 2.1 km jetty. Works include the supply, fabrication and installation of the LNG jetty from the abutment at the end of the Materials Offloading Facility to the jetty head inclusive of heavy lift facility, tug pens, mooring/breasting dolphins and navigation aids.
